This year the parish of Clarecastle Ballyea hosted the Easter Sunday Dawn Mass at the Quay in Clarecastle. In ideal weather conditions, parishioners from the four parishes of the Abbey Pastoral Area gathered as the Dawn broke on the season of Easter.

Easter Vigil Mass in Ennis Cathedral
The parish of Ennis celebrated the Easter Vigil this year by welcoming two new members in to the Christian Community in the persons of Bessant and Sid. Bishop Fintan presided and baptised and Confirmed both candidates.

Blessing of Easter Food in Ennis Cathedral
Families gathered in Ennis Cathedral on Easter Saturday for the traditional Blessing of Easter Food, accompanied by the Shannon Polish Scouts. Led in prayer by Fr Roch OFM, Bishop Fintan blessed the baskets of food which symbolise thanksgiving as Lent comes to an end, celebration of the Resurrection and the hope of new life.
