First Friday Visits

Friday 2nd October is the First Friday of the month. The priests of the parish will visit housebound parishioners with the sacraments. If you know of any housebound parishioners who would like to receive the sacraments, please contact the Parish Office.
Feast of Our Lady of Mercy
September 19, 2026
The Sisters of Mercy have had a presence in our Parish for the past 172 years. During a Parish Mission in 1853, Dean John Kenny the parish priest was asked by parishioners to approach the Sisters in Limerick with an invitation for the Sisters to come to Ennis to provide education in the town.

Autumn Pilgrimage to Lourdes

Bishop Fintan will lead our Autumn Pilgrimage to Lourdes from Monday 28th September to Saturday 3rd October. If you would like a petition placed at the grotto on your behalf, please leave it in to the Parish Office by 5pm on Friday 25th September.
Cathedral Works Update
September 19, 2026
Work will begin on Monday 28th September on the pavement in front of the Cathedral. This will necessitate
the closure of the main door of the cathedral for the duration of this phase of the work.
There will be four entrances to the Cathedral open each day:
