“Getting the most out of your DNA results”. Presented by Mr. Paddy Waldron, Genetic Genealogist, Chairman CRS. 8pm; Thursday; 18th May; Old Ground Hotel. In recent years, several million people worldwide have submitted DNA samples for analysis and inclusion in online databases. The people in the DNA databases range from many members of the Clare Roots’ Society to wellknown Irish public figures like RTÉ presenter Ryan Tubridy, Michael Healy-Rae TD and soccer pundit Eamon Dunphy, who were among those to entertain the nation with their DNA results on a St. Patrick’s Day Late Late Show special. Paddy will explain how to find (and be found by) distant relatives in various online DNA databases. This event is intended to be largely a hands-on question-and-answer session, so please come with your DNA questions and, if you have already submitted your DNA, bring along your kit numbers, passwords, and tablets or laptops
