This year Trócaire celebrates 50 years of reaching out to the poor and working for social justice in parts of the world where poverty and injustice exist. Through the generosity of Irish people over the past 50 years, the quality of life has improved for so many people.
The Trócaire Lenten Campaign begins this Ash Wednesday. Trócaire boxes will be available in all our churches.
Lent is a time to begin living more simply so that others can simply live. Still more than a billion people survive on less than €1 per day. One day this week skip a meal or give up something and put the money in your Trócaire box. Why not do this through Lent as an act of solidarity with the poor?
