On Sunday 9th July Archbishop Eugene Nugent celebrated 40 Years of priesthood in the Sacred Heart Church, Scariff, where he was ordained on that date in 1983. He was the principal celebrant at the 11.00am Sunday Mass in the parish Church and was joined by Bishops Fintan and Willie as well as priests and friends from around the world.
Archbishop Eugene is fondly remembered in Ennis parish where he served as a curate from 1984- 1987. Our parish congratulates him on this special occasion. Our thanks to Bishop Fintan for the photos.
