On Thursday 1st February we celebrate the feast of our National Saint, St Brigid. Work has begun on making crosses for St Brigid’s Day. Parishioners are gathering each night this week to make the Crosses and share the story of faith which St Brigid and the Cross symbolize. The Crosses will be for sale at the weekend and next week, with proceeds going to the Cathedral Renovation Appeal. St. Brigid’s crosses will be blessed at all Masses on the day.
Our thanks to all who have volunteered to make the Crosses and to those farmers who have generously provided the rushes.
