St Patrick’s Day began with the celebration of the Eucharist in the Cathedral led by Bishop Fintan. The students of Rice College enriched the liturgy with prayers, music, song, and dance. Bishop Fintan blessed the Shamnrock with members of the retired Defence Forces and concluded the ceremony with the Blessing of the Roads. The St Patrick’s Day Parade took place after Mass.
