On Thursday 15th August, the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Ian Cunningham, Elm Park, son of Caroline & Denis and brother of Sarah made his First Profession as a Franciscan Brother in the Franciscan Friary, Killarney in the presence of his Provincial Fr. Aidan Mc Grath OFM.
Ian was educated in Ennis national School, St. Flannan’s College & St. Patricks College, Maynooth. Ian joined the Franciscan Friars in 2017 completing his Postulancy in Ennis  Friary. This was followed by his Noviatiate in the Franciscan Friary, Killarney where along with three other Friars he made his First Profession.
Bro Ian now continues his studies in Rome and we pray for him and all who are discerning the call to serve as Priests, Deacons and in Religious Life.
