Senior Students and Teachers from Rice College came to the Cathedral on Friday 20th November to tie yellow ribbons on the railings to remember all the people who died this pandemic year and many others who are grieving their deaths. Frs. Joy and Tom led a short prayer service at the grave of Bishop Joseph Rodgers in the grounds of the Cathedral.
Earlier in the day, Junior students tied ribbons to the school gates at Rice College.
Our thanks to Ms. Chambers who co-ordinated the event at Rice College, to Dr. Susan O’Brien our Diocesan Ecumenical advisor, and her husband, local Rector Rev. Kevin O’Brien who shared and planted crocuses in St Columba’s, the Friary, and the Cathedral, to mark the Day of Remembrance.
