St. Anthony Novena 2022

Our thanks for Fr Antony Jukes OFM Killarney who conducted this year’s Novena in the Friary. On the feast of St. Anthony people flocked in their hundreds to celebrate the feast and bless their lilies. The Friary Choir under the Direction of Michelle Hennessy provided the music on the day.

Parish Office Opening Hours

From Tuesday 7th June the Parish Office will open from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm including lunchtime.
Ennis Friary Office will open
Monday to Friday 9.30 am to 5.30 pm
Saturday 9.30 am to 2.30 pm


Basket Collection Resumes

This weekend the collection baskets will once again be passed around at the offertory of the Mass. We

Silver Jubilee of Fr. Iggy

Congratulations to Fr. Iggy on the occasion of his silver jubilee. Fr. Iggy is a valued member of the Abbey Pastoral team celebrating the 7.40 am Mass in the Cathedral each morning and helping in the pastoral area at weekends. This is in addition to his responsibility as Principal of our Diocesan College, St. Flannan’s.


Mass at the Cliffs of Moher

Ennis Hospital Mass Resumes

Sunday Mass resumes in the Ennis Hospital Chapel this Sunday at 8.45 am. Patients in the hospital can tune into channel 33 to view Mass. Patients will have the opportunity of receiving Holy Communion in their rooms afterward.


Franciscan Ennis by Fr. Patrick Conlon OFM

Franciscan Ennis written by Fr Patrick Conlon OFM, tells the story of the Franciscan presence in the town of Ennis from the 13th Century to the present day. The book is available in both the Friary and the Cathedral for just €2.

Darkness into Light Walk

The Darkness into Light walk took place on the morning of Saturday 7th May. This year the Cathedral opened at 3.30 am and welcomed walkers who dropped in to say a prayer or light a candle.
