Christmas Tree Festival

St Columba’s Church of Ireland in Bindon Street is once again hosting the Festival of Trees during the Advent Season. St Columba’s Church will be open on Thursday 21st, Friday 22nd, and Saturday 23rd of December from 1pm to 6pm and all are welcome.

A Weekend in July – St. Michael’s Villas 70th Anniversary Book Launch

Cathedral Reopens Fully

Work on the Cathedral floor has paused for Christmas and will resume on 8th January 2024. Our thanks to Martins Construction for the work to date. We look forward to completion in early 2024


Defibrillator for Ennis Cathedral

Rule of the Friars Minor 800th Anniversary

SMV70 Community Choir

One of the fruits of the 70th celebrations of St Michael’s Villas was the formation of SMV70 Community Choir. The choir has gathered since the weekend in July celebrations to practice.
Their first outing took place this weekend to sing for the residents of St Joseph’s Hospital in the newly decorated and renovated Church.


Clare Remembrance Service

Sunday 19th November was the day that the people of Clare came to remember all those who died in wars and conflict, remembering especially our peacekeepers who gave their lives in the service of their country.

Cemetery Sunday

As part of the November Remembrance in Ennis Parish, Cemetery Sunday is an important event in the story of Remembrance. Prayers and Blessings took place in the Columbarium of the Cathedral and in both Corrovorrin and Drumcliffe Cemeteries. Our thanks to Pat Hanrahan for the photos.
