Ennis Community College operates under the auspices of the Limerick & Clare Education & Training Board. The college was founded in 1938 and caters for both boys and girls, offering a full programme of secondary education for Junior and Senior Cycle.

Ennis Community College has a long and proud history of providing an inclusive and co-educational experience for all of its students. Staff and senior students at the college work collaboratively to ensure the transition from primary to secondary level is achieved as smoothly as possible. Ennis Community College is co-located with Ennis College of Further Education which provides a range of certified training courses for adult learners, and with Gaelcholáiste an Chláir, Clare’s only Irish-medium secondary school.
